Perfection vs Profit

Hello, my friend and future millionaire.

Welcome to this episode of The Money Wheel.

My name is Don Shade.

There’s something I want you to think about.

Remember back a few episodes ago, maybe a couple of weeks ago, when I went over how to build your course overnight?

I mentioned that it was a way for you to get your product out of your head and down on paper or an electronic version, something like that.

Notice how it changed your mindset about your business?

Up until that point, you were just thinking about what you were going to create and what you were going to sell.

What I did by showing you how to create your course overnight was to get you to the point where you had an actual product.

Was it perfect?: No.

Was it done?: No.

But it was moving you forward and it did change your mindset.

It makes you feel different about the business you’re building.

Now I want you to think about something else.

You started working on your course.

And what I’ve noticed with a lot of people and hear this out of a lot of students, ‘I would have a podcast on my product if I was better in front of a camera’, or ‘if I knew how to do this’, or ‘I knew how to do that’, or ‘I’m just not ready to put it together’.

Whatever the excuse is that you might use to hide behind, I want you to ask yourself this question and I want you to be honest about it: Are you putting perfection in front of profit?

Some of you are looking for perfection.

You’re not willing to start anything until you feel you can do it perfectly.

At the beginning of this year, when I started committing to doing our Building Your Million Dollar Roadmap podcasts, and I designed the path we were going to walk in and the things that I was going to teach you along the way, I didn’t wait to be perfect.

When you look back at some of the early episodes, they’re really rough, and it didn’t matter.

I just made the decision that I was going to move forward and I was going to do it anyway until I got good at it.

And there are even times now that some of my episodes aren’t the best, they’re still kind of rough for whatever reason.

You’re going to run into that as well.

Be okay with it.

Don’t let yourself put perfection in front of profit, because you can make good money long before you’re perfect at what it is you do.

This is just another thing to put your mindset in the right direction.

I want you to be excited about what you’re building.

What happens with a lot of you is, the reason you don’t let everything all out and build everything you want to build in your business, is because you’re scared that it isn’t going to work.

And you feel if it doesn’t work, ‘I don’t have anything else to go to’.

Well, you know what?: If you let everything go and you play full out to build this business and maybe something doesn’t work, you’re going to learn a different avenue that you can go to build a different type of online business.

The great thing about building a business online is there are no limits.

Maybe what you’re doing won’t work exactly the way you think, but with a little bit of tweaking, it will work and get you to the point where you’re making big money.

So don’t be afraid to screw up in the beginning.

You’re going to be relatable to people, because you’re human; you’re not perfect.

They realized, ‘Hey, if this person can do it, I can do it too’.

So the one thing I will challenge you to do is this: never let yourself put perfection in front of profit.

That’s everything I have for this episode of The Money Wheel.
