Benefits of Building a Team

Hello, my friend and future millionaire.

Welcome to this episode of The Money Wheel.

My name is Kris Hutchinson.

Today what I want to share with you is: I want to talk a little bit about our team.

Don and I have been working together for a few years now.

And in the beginning we were able to get some stuff done, but we weren’t moving forward as fast as we wanted to.

Don is a master at team building, because he knows the things that he’s lacking, either in skills or time; he knows how to get a team together to help with that.

With our team, we brought in a video editor, because we’re doing podcasts every day.

I have the skillset to edit these videos and to post them online, but with doing a video every day, I’d have to spend a big portion of my day doing that every day.

With that we’re also writing emails every day, which is something that Don and I can do together, but it does take some time.

Just with those two activities alone, between writing an email every day and posting a video every day, making sure that you can find the links on Facebook, making sure that the album art is good to go for each episode, all these little things, they all add up really quickly.

Where we would spend four or five hours a day just to produce one episode and to make sure that it got distributed to all the right places.

So that’s why we brought in our teammates.

We have a video editor to help us, who, after we create the content for our videos, he goes through, polishes them up and gets them posted online.

We have another team member who makes sure that all of our links on social media are out there and are good to go, and everything’s looking the way that we want it to look.

We have somebody transcribe our videos just so we have the text available that we can use in our copy and in our emails.

And then we’ve got a copywriter as well, who comes in to help us with all of our sales copy and funnel designs and things like that.

Because for us, to build that with the speed that we’re trying to move, it would take us 20 hours a day or more between the two of us.

We just don’t have that kind of time to get the results that we want.

Here are some things you need to also think about:

  • What kind of team do you need?
  • Who do you need on your team?
  • How much time can they save?
  • How much effort can they save you?

For me, the first time I tried to figure out Facebook ads, it took me probably six hours to post my first ad, because I had to learn everything all by myself.

I had to go and create the graphic.

I had to figure out what copy we were going to write.

I had to learn how to do Facebook targeting, things like that.

Yet, at the same time, for that six hours on that day, it could’ve just been easier to find someone to do it for me, who could get it done in 20 or 30 minutes.

Then that saves my day that I can go and do the things that I’m great at.

So that’s just something for you to consider.
