Behind The Scenes

Hello, my friend and future millionaire.

Welcome to this episode of The Money Wheel.

My name is Kris Hutchinson.

Today we’re going to talk about something a little different.

We’re going to talk about behind the scenes of the money wheel podcast.

We want you to know how easy it is for you to put together your own podcast, promoting your own product.

I’m usually the man behind the camera.

Actually all we’re using is my phone.

That’s all we have to shoot everything here.

We usually use my wife’s office, and we just found a nice little corner to set up in.

We set up a chair and we’re using my phone on a tripod to get everything recorded, because we found that with using a webcam on the computer, our quality was not the best.

You probably have a super good camera on your phone as well.

It’s just as simple as that.

That’s all really all the equipment you need.

My wife happens to have these cool umbrella lights that she paid like $40 for on Amazon.

She has two of them.

We use them just to kind of help the light quality for our video.

If you’re running audio, you don’t even need it.

Your phone has a great microphone in it and that’s really all you need to get set up.

If you want to do some kind of video, lset up a chair in a corner and hit record.

It’s that simple.

The key part here is to be consistent with it.

Don and I made the commitment to post a podcast every day at the beginning of 2021.

And so far we’ve done that, it’s just a matter of finding what works for you.

It doesn’t have to be every day, you can do it once a week, twice a week, three times a week, whatever. suits your schedule, as long as you’re consistent.

They don’t need to be five minutes.

If you like to talk for 20 minutes about something or even more great.

And then just post one a week, however long you feel comfortable with and whatever fits your style.

Again, the key here is to be consistent.

You don’t need a fancy camera.

You’ve got a phone, just use that.

We’ve got a tripod here that we got.

I think all in all our total setup costs like the tripod and the lights was less than a hundred bucks.

We’ve got a computer sitting next to us just so we can take notes on everything.

The podcast service that we use is called Simple Cast.

You can find a link to that on the resources page: resources.moneywheelpodcast.com.

Simple Cast is approximately $15 a month and they will handle all of your podcast needs, just upload your audio to there and type in the title and the notes and things like that.

Setting up your own little production studio, it was pretty simple.

Now editing is a little bit difficult.

It does take some technology.

You need to have a little bit of tech savvy there, especially when you’re doing as many podcasts as we do in a week, you know, we’re doing every day.

So we’ve actually hired a team member, Adam, and he’s awesome.

We can send him our videos and he will take care of the editing.

He will put the intro and the outro on them, and then he uploads them into Simple Cast for us.

So that is a great addition to our team here at The Money Wheel Podcast.

So you guys see how easy it is, how simple our setup is.

There’s nothing super complicated about it.

However, if this is something that you do struggle with, maybe you aren’t as tech savvy as you need to be.

If you don’t understand the software, that’s fine.

Please reach out and get help.

You can always contact me Kris@moneywheelpodcast.com, and we can definitely hook you up with some ideas or maybe I can help you out myself.

All right guys, that’s everything I got on The Money Wheel.
