Course Creation

Hello, my friend and future millionaire.

Welcome to this episode of The Money Wheel.

My name is Don Shade.

I want to brace you for this episode, because this is probably the first and only time that I’m ever going to get technical.

I know what some of you are thinking, ‘oh my Gosh, I’ve heard this guy before, the wheels are going to go flat’.

Don’t worry, we’ll be fine, but let’s address the elephant in the room.

I hear from a lot of people that want to create an online course.

And for some reason, they fail to start.

The secret I’m going to give you right now will allow you to create your online course overnight.

Here’s the way you do it: I want you to think about what niche your course is going to be in, and then whatever your style is.

I have a Macbook that I used to dictate to when I was writing my book Make Everyday Your Payday

What I did was sit down and basically talk about everything that I wanted to put in the book, maybe within an hour or so.

Was it perfect? No.

Did I worry about punctuation? No.

I wasn’t worried about titles or any of that stuff.

I put down basic stuff; the things that I knew I wanted to cover and I left it at that.

And then I saved the document and I let it set.

Here’s what you’re thinking the next day: ‘I gotta get back to work on my course’, because now you have something to lose.

Here’s what happens to most people, they think about writing a course.

They treat it like  it’s this big, complicated thing, and they don’t even know how to do the introduction.

They don’t know what topics they’re going to have, and all kinds of other excuses, so they never seem to start.

If you take one hour and just brain dump, so to speak, rather, you do it: pen and paper, or you talk to your phone or computer, then you can say, ‘now I have a course’.

Is it done?: No, but you’re well on your way.

This is how we get through the hardest obstacle.

Now that you have some stuff down on paper and it’s out of your head, so to speak, you’re now more excited than you were yesterday because yesterday you didn’t have a course.

You had an idea.

Now that you have a course, you’re going to be excited, getting that course where it needs to be, to be a sellable product.

Is it going to be perfect?: No, that’s not why you’re shooting for it all.

We’ll polish it up after the fact of the information that you have down.

What happens is this: as you’re going through, if you hit a stumbling point where you think, ‘well, I better research a little bit so I’m telling people the right thing’, put a note in there and skip onto the next point.

Then what happens to the following day, after you’ve rained dumped, so to speak: you go back in and you start polishing up your course.

You make sure that punctuation is there.

You make sure it sounds the way you want it to sound.

What this does, it takes the elephant out of the room; the ‘don’t know how to create a course’.

The first time you do this, if you can only sit there for 15 minutes and that’s all you have, that’s fine, let it go with that.

But at least now you have started, you have a course in place, and you know what direction you’re going.

You know what’s going to happen?: you’re going to keep working on this course until you get it ready to go.

It doesn’t have to have an introduction and conclusion, paragraphs closed, a closing, nothing.

I just want you to get something down, get started.

That’s how we get you rolling down the path to your Million Dollar Roadmap.

You’re never going to get there if we don’t have a sellable product.

And if you’re somebody that has been saying, ‘Hey, I’m going to create my own digital product, I’m going to sell it online’, you can talk about it until you’re blue in the face.

Until it actually comes time where you sit down and do it, it’s not going to happen.

Like I said, if you can sit down for 10 or 15 minutes and that’s all the information you have, fine, so be it, we’ll add to it later.

What you’re going to notice is, you’re going to be thinking about it more and more.

‘I have to work on this, I want to get this down, I’m going to add this’, because now it’s not in your head anymore.

You can see the money coming behind your product.

That’s everything I have for this episode of The Money Wheel.
