Course Creation Mindset

Hello, my friend and future millionaire.

Welcome to this episode of The Money Wheel.

My name is Don Shade.

In the last episode, we talked about putting together everything you know about your course, and the information for everything that you’re going to sell, whatever the situation is.

Now that you’ve done that exercise and you’ve created a few pages of thoughts, let’s start to tune it in and start to get a finished product.

For the sake of this training, I’m just going to assume that you’ve never built a course before and that this is your first time.

With that being said, let’s think about some stuff as we move forward.

So you’ve put together everything that you know, up until this point.

Now, something I want you to think about is this – do you realize no matter what product you sell, there’s somebody else out there online that’s selling the same product, just a different way of putting the information together?

Do you realize no matter what business you’re in or where your interests lie, anybody can get online and do Google searches and find the same information that you’re putting a price tag on?

The reason I bring that up is this: most people are too lazy to do the kind of research it takes to get the information that you’re selling them.

Everybody knows how to be skinny, but look around.

How many people actually do it?

The way to get skinny is to eat less, eat healthier, exercise and drink more water.

Everybody knows how, but very few of us do it.

The reason you can put your product together and sell it for money is because people want the information that you have, but they’re not willing to do their own research.

They want somebody to teach it to them.

That is the reason that we’re putting your product together.

I don’t want you to worry about competition.

I want you to stay in your lane, so to speak, and I want you to focus on what your product is going to look like and the exact way; the image you want to be portrayed as you’re selling it.

For right now, we’re not going to focus on selling or anything like that.

We’re going to focus on the main thing of getting you a sellable product, a full course, and what that’s going to look like.

So as we walked down this path, ‘what is going to happen with the information that you have?’.

Well, we’re going to take a look at ‘how much of it do you actually have?’.

And one of the key things that I want to point out here is this: I’m somebody that likes to get to the point.

I don’t want to put my course together and there’d be a lot of fluff in it, so to speak, to make it look like I have a lot of content that really isn’t there.

In my opinion, I would rather buy a course that is an hour long that tells me everything I want to know about a certain subject than to buy a course that’s three hours long and full of different kinds of flops and stories that don’t really relate to what I need.

Here’s the reason I tell you that: when you’re setting your price point, a lot of people look at it and say, ‘well, I only have an hour’.

Or, ‘I have two hours, it isn’t worth that much money’.

It isn’t the number of pages that you have, or the length of your content.

It’s what you teach them on those pages or in that timeframe.

Now that we have the right mindset for building your course, we can move forward.

We know that we don’t want any garbage information in there, we want straight up details that are going to help our customer do exactly what it is they’re looking to do with your product.

Now that we have that mindset, we’ll move on to the next podcast and get into some different information as far as putting an outline together and what your course is actually going to look like.

That’s everything I have for this episode of The Money Wheel.
